Activities - Visit the Catalan Country
Here, you won't find 4 seasons, but a succession of summers and springs in the middle of autumn or winter. The sun reigns over the valleys and a multitude of streams, rocky creeks, sandy beaches, high mountains. From the sea to nearly 3000metres, each place is accessible so that you can see for yourself how the landscape has remained intact. The numerous thousand year old fortresses, churches and monasteries have remains intact. The land is bursting with fruit, vegetables, wine and a thousand other riches which make life tastier than elsewhere. The different landscapes all benefit from a climate which is unique. This surely accounts for the diversity of the natural landscape, the produce and the know-how.

There are a number of superb restaurants in the village and within a short 10 minute drive from the house. The Cote Roussillon and Roussillon Villages red wines are excellent - wine writers are just beginning to get excited about these 'under-rated' wines.

There are numerous walks from the village depending on the level of walks required. Further information on walks in the area click here. The local Tourist Office when you arrive is a great source of information on additional walks in the area.

Local producers have their cheese, olive oil, almonds, fruit and artesian produce available in the village or at local markets.
Cycling / Mountain biking
There are a number of cycling routes in the Laroque area that vary from under 1 hour to about 2.5 hrs. Longer cycles can be arranged and the local tourist office will have information on additional routes together with local bike shops to hire bicycles.
Sailing / Wind surfing

The blue Meditrerranean is visible from the village and just 10 minutes drive. There are a number of safe sandy beaches and offer pedalos or windsurfers/boats for hire.
